Lumit® immunoassays use split-luciferase technology, where analyte sensors (e.g., antibodies, antigens, binding proteins) are chemically labeled with two NanoLuc® luciferase subunits: SmBiT and LgBiT. When these sensors bind to the target analyte, SmBiT and LgBiT form an active luciferase enzyme. This generates a bright luminescent signal upon the addition of detection reagent, enabling fast and easy analyte detection without the need for time-consuming wash steps.
