HaloTag® is a protein fusion tag designed to provide detection, purification and imaging capabilities. HaloTag® was engineered to rapidly form a covalent attachment to synthetic ligands, thus overcoming the equilibrium limitation of traditional affinity tags. The synthetic ligand comprises a common linker attached to a variety of molecules such as fluorescent dyes and solid supports, allowing protein detection and protein capture for studying protein interaction and protein purification.
